Where has the time gone??

It's been a busy few weeks hence, the lack of updates so as a brief summary:

Para-triathlon: Dave Cooke and Tom Perkins storm to victories in their respective categories at the National Para-triathlon Championships, Holme pierrepont. All is looking good in the build up to the World Championships in 10 days time.

Triathlons: Phil Denny puts in a strong performance at Swanage Triathlon in the build up to Bala next weekend.

Eddie Charlton-weedy has an August full of racing picking up numerous podium finishes as a fun build up to Hawaii in October.

James Cross and many others from BAD Tri enjoy the first race in Bristol city centre.

Last but not least Andy popped out to Denmark and completed Challenge Copenhagen in 9:43. The last couple of weeks of recovery have been good which might be a reason for the lack of updates! More soon!

August has so far been a very exciting month and this weekend was no exception with top performances including Alex Prince and Dave Holladay in races where mental toughness is the order of the day.

Alex Prince tamed the incredibly tough, rough, cold and hilly Norseman in 14:33:27 to finish at the top of the mountain and earn the much coveted black finishers t-shirt.

Dave Holladay had a slightly less hilly task but possibly more mind numbing and certainly as tough. He completed 304 lengths of a 25m pool, 16 laps of a 14 mile bike course and 42 laps of a 1.25 mile loop to finish third in the Enduroman Double Iron race this weekend. Dave, I think many words will now be used to describe you, most likely including 'mad' and 'nutter' (many of which may well be true :-)).

Elsewhere at the slightly more 'sane' distance of 26 miles; Graham Wright finished the Isle of Wight Marathon in 3:13:14. A PB by over 77 minutes.

Big weekends for:
Dave Holladay with his Double ironman starting Saturday and going through the night til Sunday.
Alex Prince, who is tackling the Norseman
Tom Perkins and Dave Cooke who are both off to the big smoke to do London Triathlon.

Good luck to you all.
